Solo Show, “The blue color of my sky”, curated by Yipei Lee and Carla Gimeno Jaria
Solo Show arises from the initiative to establish a platform dedicated to local independent spaces. This proposal stands as an exploration around self-identity and new ways of working from a collective perspective in the presentation of solo exhibitions. Carried out in collaboration with the Fundació Vila Casas, the project promotes a meeting between young artists, the peripheral spaces they work with and emerging figures in the curatorial field.
In this edition, Solo Show has expanded further, seeking to link local proposals with those from another territory. In this first edition, the guest city has been Taipei, establishing a dialogue with Barcelona through 8 proposals, 4 from each territory, under the curatorship of Yipei Lee (Taipei) and Carla Jaria (Barcelona).
Under the suggestive title “The blue color of my sky”, a concept that explores the media and social texts from the perspective of “Redistribution” is proposed, which implies a reinterpretation of the known language. The integration of economic, social, political and cultural factors generates a direct correlation that leads to the deconstruction of the text and the “redefinition of practicality” for the sake of artistic thought. In this process of deconstructing the text, value judgments, perspectives of vision and levels of intimacy in interaction will be involved.

“Tradition and innovation: the role of emerging art in Barcelona and Taipei”
In SOLO SHOW, The Blue Color of My Sky captures the cultural richness of Barcelona and Taipei, highlighting how emerging art shapes collective identities and future urban landscapes.
Barcelona’s long-standing artistic heritage now embraces a thriving new art scene, sustained by independent spaces for young creatives. Meanwhile, Taipei’s art scene blends Asian influences with technological experimentation, positioning it as a contemporary art beacon in Southeast Asia.
