Swab sOLO

The program, in colaboration with the Vila Casas Foundation, was born with the interest of observing projects originating from the Mediterranean. In this edition, Solo Show extended its connections by also welcoming the coastal city of Taipei. Putting into dialogue the curation of 4 spaces in Barcelona by Carla Jaria, with 4 spaces in Taipei curated by Yipei Lee, the two metropolises met in Swab under the title The Blue Color of my Sky establishing connections between their vibrant artistic scenes.

DESIGN

The 17th edition of Swab Barcelona introduced a new program dedicated to collectible design, reflecting the current trend of integrating art and design to create a bridge between aesthetics and functionality through tangible artworks. For this initial launch, a curated selection offered a glimpse into today’s design scene. The program emphasizes unique creations that blend aesthetics, innovation, and craftsmanship, showcasing the creative diversity that defines contemporary design culture. This new section of Swab offered visitors the opportunity to explore design as a collectible art form, meant to be admired and integrated into everyday life.
