MYFAF PROGRAM
Swab Barcelona continues strengthening its commitment to newly established spaces through the My First Art Fair (MyFAF) program, supported by the Swab Barcelona Foundation. An essential part of the fair’s identity, MyFAF is the section that groups and promotes galleries with less than two years of experience and exhibiting for the first time at an international fair. Each edition, three spaces are awarded grants, providing them with a unique opportunity to enter the circuit.
The central objective of the Fundación Swab in launching these grants is to discover and promote new talents, facilitating the entry of innovative projects into the dynamic realm of international art fairs. This initiative reinforces Swab’s mission to serve as a melting pot of new ideas and trends while emphasizing its role as a launch platform for emerging artistic voices.
LIST OF EXHIBITORS
Autokomanda
Autokomanda is an exhibition space and kunstverein based in Belgrade, Serbia. The project questions dynamics and relations in a direct way, taking its name from the crossroads junction in Belgrade that separates, or rather connects, the center and the periphery, overlapping with the main highway in Serbia, part of the European route E75 that goes from Norway to Greece. The name is a sort of pun: “autokomanda” refers to the various directions of car travel, but it could also refer to auto (self) commanding (directing) – what the project aims to be, a self-directed endeavor.
Proposal
Francesco Cagnin presents a new series of aquatint etchings centered on the black trash bag—an object he explores as both utilitarian and symbolic. Inflated as if filled with air, the bag becomes a metaphor for presence and absence, its form shaped by invisible contents. Balancing existential tension with the poetics of plastic, the works reflect on opacity, absurdity, and contemporary materiality. The booth showcases the series in varied iterations.

Néboa
Founded in 2023 in Lugo, NÉBOA is a contemporary art gallery focused on identity, nature, and the human essence. It supports emotionally resonant and critically engaged projects with formal sensitivity.
Working with Galician artists or those connected to the region, NÉBOA fosters both emerging and established careers. Its program balances curatorial rigor with creative freedom, highlighting diverse perspectives and interdisciplinary dialogue. From the start, NÉBOA has aimed to be a leading platform in the Galician and national scene, promoting art collecting and access through a close, committed, and sustainable approach.
Proposal
For SWAB 2025, NÉBOA presents a selection of works by Andrea Dávila Rubio (1995, Boiro, Spain) and Andrés Rivas Rodís (2000, Santiago de Compostela, Spain). Their works engage in a dialogue around the relationship between body, nature, and memory, exploring territories of fragility, transformation, and permanence. Through organic materials, accumulative gestures, and layers of time, the artists invite a slow contemplation of life processes.
The proposal embodies NÉBOA’s vision: a space where emotion, critical thought, and formal delicacy come together to challenge and engage the viewer.

Outhouse
Outhouse gallery is a small, independent, artist-run creative space located in Brunswick Park, South East London.
As a former public toilet, the gallery’s mission is to be public, and accessible to both facilitators and visitors. Outhouse is rooted in the belief that public spaces—and the communities they serve—are inherently political. From free exhibitions, live performances, and workshops, outhouse provides artists with a platform for growth and experimentation.
Proposal
With this proposal, they aim to represent the daily life in the park: people from different backgrounds coming together, sharing space, stories, and inspiration. They want to celebrate not just coexistence, but growth — artistic, personal, and collective.
Outhouse is like a plant breaking through concrete—a space created in resistance to elitism, in advocacy for visibility and accessibility. Just as Brunswick Park offers a quiet, hidden refuge in the city, we want to be an oasis within London’s art world: a mystical, reflective place where beauty emerges from the margins and where creativity is nurtured by the community.
