Subsection of the General Program dedicated to emerging galleries with less than five years of existence.

Swab Seed showcases eight independent and artist-run spaces that share experimentation as a common denominator. Swab Seed seeks to give visibility to new platforms and proposals that are shaking up the contemporary scene. For this edition, Swab Seed joins forces with the Fundació Vila Casas, which sponsors the participation of four independent Catalan spaces.
Swab on Paper
Curated by Carolina Diez-Cascón, for this edition Swab on Paper wants to challenge the limit of paper through illusion, an optical illusion that plays with the constant existence of two realities, a flat reality of the essence of paper, which will be invaded by means such as plastics or fabrics that will deceive this dimension.
Under the umbrella of this parallelism, the 6 proposals of the program travel between two worlds, or truths, the conscious and the unconscious, the inside and the outside, the tradition and the capitalism, the atheism and the devotee, the local and the immigrant.

My First Art Fair
Selection of four young contemporary art galleries, under two years old, that still have not participated in any international fair. Swab offers this space free of charge to help promote new emerging galleries.
