YIPEI LEESUAVEART

Yipei Lee is the Founder and Independent Curator of SUAVEART. Born in Taipei in 1985, Yipei LEE initially pursued studies in Economics and Fashion Design. Subsequently, she earned an MBA in Art Market Management in 2019 from École d’Arts et de Culture France. Since 2008, her dedication has been directed towards the contemporary art ecosystem in the Southeast Asian region. In 2011, she embarked on curating exhibitions and fostering cultural exchanges. In 2015, she established SUAVEART.

SUAVEART, a research-based curatorial institution which focuses on environment, nonhuman perspectives and nonplaces issues in islands, art and life. They have been focused on Southeast Asian regional contemporary art since 2008. Established in Taiwan in 2015, it provides and creates experimental cultural implementation and interdisciplinary collaboration possibilities. Artistic research, art residency, curation, and international exchanges are carried out with support from industry links, art consultants, and communities.


SANTIAGO GASQUET

Santiago Gasquet is an Argentine curator and gallery owner with a long career in the field of art management and curatorship.

He currently co-directs the PIEDRAS gallery, an independent space for the exhibition, production, research and commercialization of contemporary art in the city of Buenos Aires. He also carries out different curatorial projects that promote the crossing of experiences related to contemporary art between Argentina, Spain, Peru, Mexico and Chile, among other places.

KELVIN KYUNG KUN PARK

Kelvin Kyung Kun Park is an artist based in Seoul, born in 1978. He works primarily in the mediums of film and video, photography, and installation, with a focus on exploring the unconscious and its relationship with technology and subjectivity.

His award-winning works have been exhibited at various international venues, including the Busan International Film Festival, Berlinale, HotDocs, New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Taipei Biennale, and Sharjah Biennale. Park has received numerous awards and nominations, including the Art Spectrum Award from Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, Busan Film Festival’s Best Documentary Award, and a nomination for the MMCA Korea Artist Prize and BMW Art Journey. Recently, his major solo exhibitions include “When Tigers Used to Smoke” (2022) at OCAT Museum, Shanghai, and “Double Mirror” (2020) at the Shanghai Museum of Glass in China.
