Rafael Pérez Hernando opened its doors for the first time in the autumn of 2004 in Orellana Street in Madrid with the exhibition “Joan Hernández Pijuan. Works on paper: 1987-2002”. More than 15 years have passed since then. In the same way that people evolve, the gallery, the artists and their works also evolve. Eclecticism and a rigorous personal selection articulate the meaning of the exhibitions. The interest in young creators coexists with the enhancement of the career of painters with a greater the trajectory of painters with greater international recognition, such as Joan Hernández Pijuan, Giorgio Griffa, Susana Solano and Claude Viallat.
