PALMADOTZE
BARCELONA
GENERAL PROGRAM
Palmadotze is an art gallery founded in 1989 in Vilafranca del Penedès (Barcelona), and since 2012 it has been located in Santa Margarida and Els Monjos, 45 km from Barcelona.
Its aim is to develop an artistic project in a non-urban environment – in a unique space, a 15th century farmhouse – where art and nature coexist, with a programme interested in promoting and disseminating contemporary art in its area of influence and internationally.
It works closely with emerging artists and established creators in the production of site-specific projects, as well as in the execution of curated exhibitions, including proposals that show the multiple media through which contemporary art and new trends are expressed. It combines its exhibition programme with a series of complementary activities that go beyond the conventional exhibition format.
The gallery represents national and international artists.

Palmadotze will present works by Susanna Inglada, Martí Madaula, and Mariona Moncunill. Moncunill will exhibit “The Trees of Europe,” a series of photographic collages contrasting the uniqueness of local trees with generic images from botanical guides, exploring the idea of nature and its symbolic value. Susanna Inglada will showcase expressive drawings and textile and ceramic sculptures that examine power relations, authority, corruption, and gender inequality, inspired by the culture and politics of Catalonia and Spain. Martí Madaula will present “Recovering the Sheets from Manchester,” an ongoing project reflecting on the concept of home, distance, and intimacy through visual elements and objects.
