FOCUS TOKYO-SEOUL
Established in 2007, GALLERY2 has introduced diverse Korean contemporary art in many genres. GALLERY2 puts importance on solid relationships and the partnership between the gallery and artists, and works together to find ways to continue artists’ creative practice. Above of all, GALLERY2 believes that its role is to find commercial possibilities for valuable artwork and to help the art scene in Korea maintain its diverse spectrum.
GALLERY2 builds balanced partnerships between the gallery and artists rather than focusing on short the term or on a current trend. This encourages positive stimulation for the gallery and artists, and actualizes its credo through its exhibitions. GALLERY2 positively accepts change, keeps an ongoing partnership with artists, and attempts to engage with more artists.

Korean contemporary women artists Hyunsun Jeon, Eunsae Lee, and Suyeon Kim are painters whose works are informed by an uncanny insight of the world, as well as deeply personal encounters and experiences.
For Hyunsun Jeon, that domain is realized in the geometric forms and objects that come together in two dimensions as both figurative and abstract.
Eunsae Lee moves the brush in a more coarse and splintered way to tell of fragmented persons and situations.
Suyeon Kim composes stills and landscapes as reinterpretations of oxymoronic presence of absence (or vice versa).
