Barcelona
Solo Show
Espai19, based in the health district of Barcelona, was founded in January 2023 as a space to generate debate on multidisciplinary artistic practice and contemporary culture through dialogue between young and established artists. It presents work from different fields, media and contexts in order to highlight artistic value over and above canons and trends. It is a gallery that is committed to both national and international art.
Espai19 is currently generating a solid programme with the aim of promoting its artists on the contemporary scene and making them known. Combining these exhibition projects with several significant events that go beyond the conventional exhibition format.

Ah, fishing! shows a selection of works by Oscar vHolloway: a diptych from the series Por que os peixes saltam por cima da superfície da água? (2017), two copies of the publication of the same name (2017) and two copies of the publication Fishing Pictures (2018). The set of these pieces proposes a reflection on the act of photographing and poses an analogy that swims between magic and banality, joke and rigour, astonishment and mordant wit.
