“THE WAY OF SEEING: I.AM.U” positions Artist Fu Wan-Ting herself as an observer of social educational orthopedics, exploring through prolonged observation how the form of still life painting develops, then probing into this collective standardization’s underlying common model. Reflecting on her creative intentions and her perspective on identity construction, she starts from a passive role as a creative learner, allowing her artworks to span a variety of micro perspectives across diverse mediums. Her work probes the conflicts present in the standardized actions of collective society, aiming to unearth lingering traditional templates, thereby addressing the paradoxical state of art education, which is supposed to be founded on principles of freedom.
